A. Organizational Development Services



Organisational development services are split into three core themes:
1. Organisational Learning Systems:
• Clarifying the objectives of the organisation and the knowledge, skills competencies and attitudes required to reach such objectives.
• Focus on how management and operational staff interact and build synergies in order to operate seamlessly; including how the organisation learns.
• Performance management systems that are clearly documented, transparently implemented and demonstrably monitored.

2. Staff Development through Training and Mentoring
• Executive coaching and mentoring to increase leadership and people skills
• Managerial development to improve decision making, planning skills, confidence and ability to carry responsibility
• Team coaching to achieve a focus on organizational needs, resolve internal conflicts, boost cooperation and underline the links between performance and reward
• Develop performance management arrangements that allow managers to monitor outcomes with the lightest appropriate touch
• Staff training and development in support of retention and succession planning
• Individual performance coaching for key staff whose potential is not being realized.


B. Research and Impact Studies


At Tradecare Africa, we undertake applied research and impact evaluations based on the needs of our clients. We have experience and expertise undertaking both exploratory research and action research including piloting concepts in readiness for market as well as evaluation studies.
Our experience in research include:
1. Monitoring trends and patterns in agricultural commodityproduction and domestic markets
This work is performed as an integral part of our agricultural extension services to monitor productivity, quality and market segmentation among farmers accessing extension services from Tradecare Mazao Safi Division. Through this work, Tradecare produces blications on soil nutrient status, farmer typologies, farmer yields by typology and crop supported, factors impacting yields and quality as well as farmer inputs markets, energy services, water and sanitation. This work informs policy interventions by both the development sector as well as the public sector.
2. Market Research
Tradecare has experience with both qualitative and quantitative studies in a number of key sectors including agriculture, renewable energy, clean cooking and nutrition markets. Research studies have focused on SMEs, middle and low-income consumers, low income workers and smallholder farmers . Research projects include delivery methods for technologies targeted to the lower quantile of the population like energy, water and sanitation products, fresh produce and financial markets

C. Project Implementation


Tradecare works with development actors to implement projects that have a long-term positive impact of the lives of workers and farmers. Projects are co-designed between Tradecare and the organisation and implemented in any of the seven Eastern African Countries.

3. Training towards meeting regulatory and voluntary standards related to products and management systems:
Tradecare offers a suite of trainings geared towards meeting private and public compliance standards as follows:
• Training and coaching towards compliance with ethical codes/social standards including: ETI/SMETA; SA8000, BSCI, GRASP, GSCP, Global Compact and ISO 26000.
• Management Systems awareness and auditor training including: ISO 45001:2018; OSHAS 18001; ISO 13001:2015 and BRC Food- Issue 7.
• Global GAP Fruits and Vegetables Option 1 and II,
• MPS GAP and Social, Fairtrade and Rain Forest Alliance.
• EC and NOP Organic Standards Awareness and Implementation Support.
• Second Party Gap Audits towards meeting the requirements of all above standards as part of implementation support
